Education / Qualifications:
After my baccalaureate, my passion for drones quickly steered me toward the fields of design, industry, and microtechnology, and it was only natural that I pursued a BTS in Industrial Design and Microtechnology (CIM). I then looked for work in the drone sector, but as it was quite a closed market, I pivoted, by opportunity, to become an aeronautical preparer (or methods technician). This led me to train in Nantes and opened the doors to Airbus through subcontracting.
Following the COVID-19 crisis, the company I worked for was affected by a redundancy plan. After that, I found a 6-month fixed-term contract in the medical industry before joining Pharea, where I have been working for two and a half years. In particular, I contributed to opening the Alten portfolio, which allowed me to work for a client I know well: Airbus Nantes. Today, I am based in St-Nazaire !
Interests:
My interests are quite varied. I am passionate about drones, as mentioned earlier—an activity that combines my interest in technology, aeronautics, and innovation. Outside of that, I enjoy spending time with my friends. I am also a fan of video games, a hobby that allows me to relax. Finally, I have a great affection for animals. I share my daily life with a cat and a dog, both one year old. They play an important role in my life.
How would you describe your role within the company?
As a Project Manager for Manufacturing Engineering (specifically for Airbus methods projects), I provide direct assistance to the Project Manager at Airbus. My expertise extends to industrial process management and the continuous improvement of production methods.
I also provide constant support to the client’s teams (Alten or Airbus) by stepping in whenever reinforcements are needed. My experience at the Airbus sites in Nantes and St-Nazaire strengthens my ability to meet the specific needs of each site, which is a major asset for my current mission.
What does a typical day at work look like, and what projects are you currently working on?
I don’t really have a typical day; my activities vary from one day to the next. Currently, I am working on several missions, including workstation mapping and technical production support. This includes creating documents, such as small technical specifications, to duplicate existing tooling, and monitoring the progress of these documents.
On a specific aircraft project, for example, I have to manage over 1,000 drill templates, which are the jigs used to drill parts for aircraft assembly. For this mission, my work involves creating, duplicating, and handling the reception of these templates before sending them to production. In parallel, I report to the client on the template stock (scrapped items, parts received, or their development status).
Tell us an anecdote related to the company or your career path:
A memorable anecdote is undoubtedly related to the seminars and the “Phareades” (company events). What I particularly appreciate is the friendly atmosphere and the fact that you feel integrated quickly, regardless of your position. Even the hours spent traveling to events are enjoyable, as they allow you to get to know your colleagues better. Every year, I know in advance that I’m going to have a great time.
